Cloverdale Citrus Fair Exhibit Lions Fred Besio & Dave Reinhardt, Chairmen Beginning
in 1920, Cloverdale has celebrated the harvesting of oranges by
creating exhibits that are made from a minimum of 1080 (that's 90
dozen!) oranges and other food products. Since the founding of the
Cloverdale Lions Club in 1951, we have been participating in this
tradition. With new ideas and techniques we have been able to create
exhibits that reflect the yearly theme of the Cloverdale Citrus Fair.
These exhibits
involve countless hours of effort from many people to create a work of
art. Any proceeds are of course retained for funding community
services.
Most important is the sense of tradition that drives the efforts of the Lions Club volunteers and that aid in the production of our exhibits. |
